Gratitude and Growth: A Thanksgiving Message from IIBA Vancouver

As we gather around the Canadian Thanksgiving season, it’s a natural time to pause, reflect, and give thanks. At IIBA Vancouver, gratitude isn’t just a seasonal sentiment — it’s the foundation of the community we are building together.

This year, I am especially thankful for the many people and partners who make our chapter thrive:

  • Our Volunteers – the heartbeat of our chapter. Your time, creativity, and dedication keep our community vibrant and engaged.
  • Our Speakers – who generously share knowledge and inspire us to grow in our profession.
  • Our Sponsors – whose partnership enables us to create meaningful learning opportunities and expand our reach.
  • Our Board Members – who work tirelessly behind the scenes to balance vision with execution and ensure our chapter serves members with excellence.
  • Our Fellow IIBA Chapters – across Canada and beyond, whose collaboration has strengthened our collective impact and allowed us to share ideas, resources, and energy.
  • Our Professional Affiliates – including partners such as ACMP, PMI and DAMA, whose collaboration has enriched our events and amplified the value we bring to our members.

Thanksgiving reminds us that none of us succeed alone. Just as a harvest is the result of many hands working together, the success of IIBA Vancouver is rooted in the collective efforts of our local community and our professional networks.

As we move into the final months of 2025, let’s carry this spirit of gratitude forward. Together, we will continue to strengthen our profession, empower business analysts, and build meaningful connections that last well beyond any season.

From our IIBA Vancouver family to yours — Happy Thanksgiving! May your weekend be filled with warmth, gratitude, and opportunities to celebrate the communities you are part of.

With appreciation,

Sid Arya
