About This Event
The purpose of these sessions is to help BAs understand and achieve International Institute of Business Analysis™ (IIBA®) certifications. At these sessions, participants will review and discuss key concepts, knowledge and skills, and share experiences in business analysis practices.
The sessions are based on A Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK® Guide) version 3.
Chapter 9 explains the tasks for planning business analysis approach, stakeholder engagement, business analysis governance and information management.
Facilitator
This session will be facilitated by Jorge Vega, CBAP® with 20+ years of experience in the software industry and business analysis. He has worked for a variety of international organizations such as Boeing and AT&T, and he currently leads a team of six business analysts at Teck Resources Limited. Jorge has been a key business analyst/consultant for software sustainment, software development, and off-the-shelf software implementation projects. Jorge was the VP of Professional Development for the IIBA Vancouver Chapter between 2015 and 2016.

Participants should bring a copy of the BABOK® Guide version 3, available online at no cost for IIBA members (IIBA Website). Non-members can purchase a PDF, ePub or Kindle version at the IIBA Website or a printed copy on Amazon. To facilitate an effective study, we ask participants to read Chapter 9 in advance and send any questions to development@vancouver.iiba.org
