This is the third session of the Vancouver Chapter IIBA certification study group sessions in 2023. The purpose of these sessions is to help BAs understand and achieve International Institute of Business Analysis™ (IIBA®) certifications. At these sessions, participants will review and discuss key concepts, knowledge and skills, and share experiences in business analysis practices. The study group includes 10 monthly drop-in sessions, ending in November.

This session will explore the BABOK® Guide Chapter 4: Elicitation and Collaboration which explores the tasks BAs perform to gain information from stakeholders and work effectively with them.

Materials and Prework
To make the most of the session, please read chapter 4 of the BABOK® Guide version 3 in advance. An online version is available at no cost to IIBA members through the IIBA Website. Non-members can purchase a PDF, ePub or Kindle version at the IIBA Website or a printed copy on Amazon.

Facilitator

This session will be facilitated by Hossam Eddeen Saleh. Hossam is an international consultant, instructor and speaker for project management and business analysis and founder of Strategic Management Experts (SM-Experts), Canada, a specialized firm in providing corporate consulting services and training for corporates and public. He started his career as an architect and has built extensive experience managing projects and leading fast developing organizations. Hossam is CBAP, PMI-PBA, PMP, PgMP, ASF, LEED AP certified.
