This is the fourth session of the Vancouver Chapter IIBA certification study group sessions in 2023. The purpose of these sessions is to help BAs understand and achieve International Institute of Business Analysis™ (IIBA®) certifications. At these sessions, participants will review and discuss key concepts, knowledge and skills, and share experiences in business analysis practices. The study group includes 10 monthly drop-in sessions, ending in November.

This session will explore the BABOK® Guide Chapter 5: Requirements Life Cycle Management which explains the tasks that business analysts perform to translate all types of information and elicitation results into more organized and structured forms of requirements and designs. This includes the decision-making techniques and the proper use of different models, diagrams, and matrices.

Materials and Prework
To make the most of the session, please read chapter 5 of the BABOK® Guide version 3 in advance. An online version is available at no cost to IIBA members through the IIBA Website. Non-members can purchase a PDF, ePub or Kindle version at the IIBA Website or a printed copy on Amazon.
