IIBA Certification Study Group Session 7

This is the sseventh study session of 2018. The purpose of these sessions is to help BAs understand and achieve International Institute of Business Analysis™ (IIBA®) certifications. At these sessions, participants will review and discuss key concepts, knowledge and skills, and share experiences in business analysis practices. Ten monthly sessions will continue until November 2018. You do not have to have attended the first session to attend this one.

The sessions are based on A Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK® Guide) version 3.

At this session, you will:

  • Learn about the different levels of IIBA certification and the requirements for each
  • Learn about the information required and the process for submitting the application
  • Get help on the most time consuming and challenging part of the application process: how to summarize your education and experience

The session will be facilitated by Holly Zhang, CBAP®, the VP Professional Development for the IIBA Vancouver chapter. Holly Zhang is a Senior Business Advisor with over 25 years of experience in information technology development, business analysis, project management and adult education. She has also been an online instructor for the UBC Certificate in Business Analysis program since 2013.

Materials and Pre-work:

To facilitate an effective study, please collect your BA related education in the last 4 years and experience in the last 10 years. Participants should bring a copy of the BABOK® Guide version 3, available online at no cost for IIBA members (IIBA Website). Non-members can purchase a PDF, ePub or Kindle version at the IIBA Website or a printed copy on Amazon. To facilitate an effective study, we ask participants to read Chapter 7 in advance and send any questions to development@vancouver.iiba.org.

  • Free for IIBA Vancouver Chapter members
  • $5 for non-members
