IIBA Certification Study Group Session 3
This is the third study session of 2017. The purpose of the sessions is to help BAs understand and achieve International Institute of Business Analysis™ (IIBA®) certifications. These are monthly sessions until November 2017. You do not have to have attended the first session to attend this one.
The sessions are based on A Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK® Guide) version 3.Chapter 4 explains the tasks that business analysts perform to obtain information from stakeholders and confirm the results. It also describes the communications with stakeholders.
This session will be facilitated by Margaret Kuan CBAP® with over 15 years of experience in management consulting, with a specialization in business process management, strategic planning, strategic implementation of technology, business analysis methodologies, requirements engineering and change management. Margaret has worked at various private and public organizations in different industries. Margaret has a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree from the University of Hong Kong and a MBA from the University of British Columbia.
Materials
Participants must bring their own copy of the BABOK® Guide version 3, which is available online at no cost for IIBA members (online at https://www.iiba.org/MemberDocs.aspx ). Non-members can purchase a PDF version for $29.95 at IIBA website.
Pre-Requisites
To facilitate an effective study, we ask participants to read chapter 4 in advance and submit 5 multiple-choice questions (4 choices per question) based on the concepts of the chapter. Participants are kindly requested to submit questions for chapter 4 to development@vancouver.iiba.org by Mar 10.
