IIBA Certification Study Group Session 2
BABOK Chapter 3: Business Analysis Planning and Monitoring
This is the second study session of 2017. The purpose of the sessions is to help BAs understand and achieve International Institute of Business Analysis™ (IIBA®) certifications. These are monthly sessions until November2017. You do not have to have attended the first session to attend this one.
Chapter 3 explains the tasks for planning business analysis approach, stakeholder engagement, business analysis governance and information management.
This session will be facilitated by Jorge Vega, CBAP® with over 18 years of experience. He has worked for a variety of international organizations and currently works for Boeing Vancouver as a Business Analyst. Jorge has been a key business analyst/consultant for software sustainment, software development, and off-the-shelf software implementation projects. Jorge was the VP of Professional Development for the IIBA Vancouver Chapter for both 2015 and 2016.
The sessions are based on A Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK® Guide) version 3.
Materials
Participants must bring their own copy of the BABOK® Guide version 3, which is available online at no cost for IIBA members (online at https://www.iiba.org/MemberDocs.aspx). Non-members can purchase a PDF version for $29.95 at IIBA website.
Pre-Requisites
To facilitate an effective study, and focus on discussion and exchanging ideas, participants are expected to read chapters 3 in advance. To help build a question bank, please submit 5 multiple-choice questions per chapter (4 choices per question), based on the content of the chapter to development@vancouver.iiba.org by February 10, 2017.
Cost
- Free for IIBA Vancouver Chapter members.
- $10 for non-members.
