IIBA Certification Study Group Session 3

Elicitation and Collaboration Chapters 4

This is the third study session of 2021. The purpose of these sessions is to help BAs understand and achieve International Institute of Business Analysis™ (IIBA®) certifications. At these sessions, participants will review and discuss key concepts, knowledge and skills, and share experiences in business analysis practices. Nine monthly sessions will continue until November 2021. You do not have to have attended the previous sessions to attend this one.

The sessions are based on A Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK® Guide) version 3.

Chapter 4 explains the tasks that business analysts perform to obtain information from stakeholders and confirm the results. It also describes the communications with stakeholders.

This session will be facilitated by Jorge Vega, CBAP® with 20+ years of experience in the software industry and business analysis. He has worked for a variety of international organizations such as Boeing and AT&T, and he is currently doing senior business analysis consulting for Teck Resources Limited. Jorge has been a key business analyst/consultant for software sustainment, software development, and off-the-shelf software implementation projects. Jorge was the VP of Professional Development for the IIBA Vancouver Chapter between 2015 and 2016.
