Business Analysis Planning and Monitoring Chapters 3

This is the second study session of 2021. The purpose of these sessions is to help BAs understand and achieve International Institute of Business Analysis™ (IIBA®) certifications. At these sessions, participants will review and discuss key concepts, knowledge, skills and share experiences in business analysis practices. 9 monthly sessions will continue until November 2021. You do not have to have attended the first session to attend this one.

The sessions are based on A Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK® Guide) version 3.

Chapter 3 explains the tasks for planning business analysis approach, stakeholder engagement, business analysis governance, and information management.

This session will be facilitated by Hossam Eddeen Saleh. Hossam is an international consultant, instructor, and speaker for project management and business analysis and founder of Strategic Management Experts (SM-Experts), Canada, a specialized firm in providing corporate consulting services and training for corporates and the public.

He started his career as an architect and has built extensive experience managing projects and leading fast developing organizations. Hossam is PMP, CBAP, PMI-PBA, ASF, LEED AP certified.

Materials and Pre-work

Participants should bring a copy of the BABOK® Guide version 3, available online at no cost for IIBA members (IIBA Website). Non-members can purchase a PDF, ePub or Kindle version at the IIBA Website or a printed copy on Amazon. To facilitate an effective study, we ask participants to read Chapters 3 in advance and send any questions to development@vancouver.iiba.org.

Event Time & Location

• Thursday, Feb 11, 2021, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm PDT
• Zoom details will be provided half-hour prior to the event to the registrants.

Participants are required to use their full name when logging in for Registration and CDU/PDU tracking.
