IIBA Certification Study Group Session 9

Techniques

This is the ninth study session of 2020. The purpose of these sessions is to help BAs understand and achieve International Institute of Business Analysis™ (IIBA®) certifications. At these sessions, participants will review and discuss key concepts, knowledge and skills, and share experiences in business analysis practices. You do not have to have attended the first session to attend this one.

The sessions are based on A Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK® Guide) version 3.

Chapter 10 provides a high-level overview of the techniques referenced in the Knowledge Areas of the BABOK® Guide. The techniques described in the BABOK® Guide are intended to cover the most common and widespread techniques practised within the business analysis community. (BABOK® Guide).

This session will be facilitated by Sergey Pochikovskiy, CBAP®, VP Professional Development IIBA Vancouver Chapter. Participants of the study session will be asked to present selected techniques from the 50 techniques described in the BABOK® Guide.

The link will be provided to the registered participant upon sign up to choose up to 2 techniques. Each presenter will explain their techniques, and share their experiences and tips in applying these techniques. Sergey will be reaching out to the participants prior to the session to help with preparation.
