IIBA Certification Study Group Session 4

BABOK Chapter 5: Requirements Life Cycle Management

This is the fourth study session of 2020. The purpose of these sessions is to help BAs understand and achieve International Institute of Business Analysis™ (IIBA®) certifications. At these sessions, participants will review and discuss key concepts, knowledge and skills, and share experiences in business analysis practices. You do not have to have attended the first session to attend this one.

The sessions are based on A Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK® Guide) version 3.

Chapter 5 explains the tasks that business analysts perform to manage and maintain requirements and design information from inception to retirement.

This session will be facilitated by Edward Hung, MBA, CBAP®. Edward is an Information Technology Manager at the City of Richmond. He has spent over 20 years advancing his practical knowledge of business analysis, change management and project delivery across the City’s operations. He has directly managed large scale transformations and enterprise high-value projects with a solid track record of setting and delivering strategy. Edward is also an active IIBA volunteer. He is currently serving as a Board Member for the Vancouver Chapter. He was a keen participant of the Chapter’s 2019 Study Group Sessions and successfully completed the CBAP certification in December. Edward is a graduate of BCIT in Engineering Technology and holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in business management. He resides in British Columbia, Canada with his wife, Julia and son, Joshua. He enjoys reading, martial arts and traveling.
