IIBA Certification Study Group — BABOK Chapter 3: Business Analysis Planning and Monitoring

This is the second session of the Vancouver Chapter IIBA certification study group sessions in 2025. The purpose of these sessions is to help BAs understand and achieve International Institute of Business Analysis™ (IIBA®) certifications. At these sessions, participants will review and discuss key concepts, knowledge and skills, and share experiences in business analysis practices. The study group includes 10 monthly drop-in sessions, ending in November. This session will explore the BABOK® Guide Chapter 3: Business Analysis Planning and Monitoring. This chapter explains the tasks for planning a business analysis approach, stakeholder engagement, business analysis governance, and information management.

The sessions are based on A Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK® Guide) version 3.

Materials and Pre-work

Participants should bring a copy of the BABOK® Guide version 3, available online at no cost for IIBA members (IIBA Website). Non-members can purchase a PDF, ePub or Kindle version at the IIBA Website or a printed copy on Amazon. To facilitate an effective study, we ask participants to read Chapters 3 in advance and send any questions to development@vancouver.iiba.org.

Event Time & Location

  • Thursday, Mar 13, 2025, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm PDT
  • Zoom details will be provided half-hour prior to the event to the registrants.

Participants are required to use their full name when logging in for Registration and CDU/PDU tracking.
