Introduction to the Study Group & IIBA Certification

BABOK Chapters 3

The purpose of these sessions is to help BAs understand and achieve International Institute of Business Analysis™ (IIBA®) certifications. At these sessions, participants will review and discuss key concepts, knowledge and skills, and share experiences in business analysis practices.

Chapter 3 explains the tasks for planning business analysis approach, stakeholder engagement, business analysis governance and information management.

This session will be facilitated by Hossam Eddeen Saleh. Hossam is an international consultant, instructor and speaker for project management and business analysis and founder of Strategic Management Experts (SM-Experts), Canada, a specialized firm in providing corporate consulting services and training for corporates and public. He started his career as an architect and has built extensive experience managing projects and leading fast developing organizations. Hossam is CBAP, PMI-PBA, PMP, PgMP, ASF, LEED AP certified.

Materials and Prework

Participants should bring a copy of the BABOK® Guide version 3, available online at no cost for IIBA members (IIBA Website). Non-members can purchase a PDF, ePub or Kindle version at the IIBA Website or a printed copy on Amazon. To facilitate an effective study, we ask participants to read Chapter 4 in advance and send any questions to development@vancouver.iiba.org.
